2-3 February 2007

Well, hello. I have to say that it's amazing how spending your day helping your wife (that's right!), self-repair your car and replace a dead batter in a 15-year old vehicle that has been well-worn and the support bolts deteriorated to the point they were almost stripped, turning your one-hour job into an all-day job, really helps your sense of self-esteem. In other words, while trying to thunder against the madness of so many of your fellow countrymen, blissfully unconcerned about the gathering storm of war at hand, so quick to criticize our President, our military commanders, our intelligence officers, etc., for infractions that are dwarfed by the gaffes by leaders of the past (ever hear of the battle for Pelilu Island in 1944? 10,000 American dead for an island that turned out to be of no strategic value at all.), life still does have to go on.

We are going to confront Iran. The world will go on. The end of the world, whenever that materializes, will come at a point determined by a person far greater than I can imagine. Only He is not telling, and won't until He's good and ready. No problem. I have enough trouble with sensory overload anyway. Until tomorrow, God willing.
