Hi. I am here in my home, with the rain falling softly outside. I enjoy this time of night, right after midnight, when the rain is like this. It's a very romantic time for Gail and myself, and I try to treasure moments like that.

I read today in the Financial Times of London that Iran has completed obtaining the 3,200 centrifuges necessary to start building enriched uranium, and that they will start doing so in May. Once starting to do so, the process of completing the building of a nuclear weapon will be complete within a year, that is, by the spring of 2008. And that assessment was made public in a report filed by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the nuclear monitoring organ of the United Nations. This is the crowd that has been consistently underestimating the development of WMD activities by several Muslim countries, especially the old Saddam regime of Iraq, Syria, and of course Iran. As recently as last week, the IAEA estimated that the development of a weapon by Iran was 4-5 years away. Even Israel had estimated that the weapon development was not to be complete until 2009, and the USA had estimated a time span of between 2-4 years. Now we find that the likelihood of an Iranian nuclear capability is now within less than 15 months away! And that's according to the UN! One can only imagine what the real window of time actually is now. Personally, I think that it will be by the end of this year.

Strange, that such development is going on while the USA is working on establishing the beginning of an anti-missile shield on land in both the central Pacific, in Japan, and in Eastern Europe (Poland and the Czech Republic). One principle that should always be observed is that, in war, an aggressor nation does not usually strike its victims when they are doing nothing to prepare for the battle. That strike usually comes when the victim state has been preparing for war, but is just short of being prepared. The reason is in order to strike one's enemy when his military and industrial resources are nearly complete and vulnerable, so as to gain the maximum amount of destruction of the enemy's assets, and eliminate its ability to wage resistance in the future, making conquest simpler.

So, here we are, a society that has one political party doing everything it can to ensure the defeat of this country's armed forces in Iraq, the central front at present for the war between Islamism and the West, especially the USA. We are more obsessed with the cause of death of Anna Nicole Smith and the emotional breakdown of Britney Spears than we are of a moving development of the ultimate conflagration. We have people in the West and America who, with a straight face, will say that George Bush deliberately set up the 9/11 attacks upon his own country so that he will have a war with Saddam Hussein. And all this while our enemies are preparing for an assault that would eliminate Israel and U.S. forces in the Middle East theater.

So, get ready, boys and girls. The party is almost over. Get ready, because you're not.
